In CSP plants, the transmission of high voltage electricity from the generators to the main transformers, passing through the corresponding generation switches and diverted to the auxiliary services transformers, takes place either via isolated phase (IPB), segregated phase (SPB) or non-segregated phase (NSPB) ISOBUSBAR® busbars. Vilfer Electric designs these busbars for insulation voltages of up to 36 kV with on-demand intensities: 3-12 kA for main busbars and 1-2 kA for deviations to transformers and auxiliary units.
These units are always manufactured under the IEEE C37.23 standard and/or EN-62271-200 and EN-62271-201, with tubular conductors and aluminium casings, offering protection level IP-65 (IPB).
Vilfer Electric also designs, manufactures and supplies resin encapsulated IMT-type ISOBUSBAR® busbars, with a custom-designed insulation voltage (7.2-24 kV) and project-designed nominal current capacity; to transmit electricity from the output of the auxiliary transformers to medium voltage switches, with an IP-68 protection level.
The company also designs, manufactures and supplies resin encapsulated, low voltage ISC-type ISOBUSBAR® busbars, with 1 kV insulation for any low voltage application in CSP plants. These types of busbars are made with copper and/or aluminium conductors and are encapsulated in resin charged with aggregates, also offering an IP-68 protection level.
On site supervision of the busbar assembly can also be undertaken by Vilfer Electric personnel to order.
